Community Open House on May 18th

Mark your calendars for 6:30pm-9pm on May 18th for our second Community Open House at the Calgary Community Reform Church. This will be a great opportunity to share in the dialogue of how to transform King Edward School into a revitalized community asset.

We are expecting a formal presentation at 7pm followed by community participation in master planning activities with our representatives and consultant team. Intimate table sessions will give local residents, artists, and not-for-profit representatives an opportunity to share ideas and consider strategies for how King Edward School may be reactivated as a sustainable and vital arts hub. For those interested in learning more about Calgary Arts Development and The Calgary Foundation and the proposal to transform King Edward School into an Arts Incubator this will also be facilitated.

We look forward to your participation at this open house and eagerly anticipate a diverse attendance from the local and arts communities.

The Reform Church is located across from King Edward School at: 1638 30 Avenue Southwest, Calgary, AB T2T 1P4

In thee event that one Cannot attend, will Youtube or some such other thing, stream this "Public" meeting? Yes or no?

We have offered live streams for several CADA events: http://www.ustream.tv/user/calgaryartsdev
We'll investigate the possibility of streaming the proceedings but I don't believe the format will lend itself to a live stream.

As a former resident of the neighbourhood, I like what I've seen on the web pages.
I presently work in Copenhagen with Nokia until the end of the year. What is being considered
for video media hard and soft ware for the facilities. I have over 16 year experience in programming,
technical set-up and support for video; computer engineering, and communications.

Nis - thanks for your comments. With our recent Request for Expressions of Interest we were keen to find partners to support the incubator function at King Edward School. It would seem that technology could play an important role in connecting the tenants with the local and broader communities in an intereactive function. Check out the REOI if you have not already to understand the intent of the incubator and possible role that technology may play. We look forward to your ideas!

Great info keep updating like this.
